Is Joyin free?
Yes. Video meetings on Joyin are free for personal use: creating rooms, joining by link, HD video, chat, screen sharing, recording and breakout groups. For business, on-premise installation with branding is available on request.
Do I need to register to join a call?
No. A guest opens the joyin.uz/j/<code> link in the browser, enters a name and joins, with no app install and no registration. Only the host needs an account.
Does Joyin work in Uzbekistan?
Yes, Joyin is built for Uzbekistan first. Our servers are in Tashkent and in other countries too, and we keep adding new ones to make calls even better. The nearest server is picked automatically, with no VPN.
How is Joyin different from Zoom and Google Meet?
Joyin is free with no time limit, you join from the browser in one click with nothing to install, and the interface is in Russian, Uzbek and English. Breakout groups are free too: Google Meet only has them on paid plans, and on free Zoom the meeting ends after 40 minutes, groups included.
How many people can join?
Up to 100 participants in one room. You can split the meeting into groups, share your screen, chat, switch cameras and record.
Can I split a meeting into breakout groups?
Yes. The host taps Groups, picks the group size or number, splits people at random or by hand, and sets a task and a timer. The host can drop into any group, send an announcement to all and bring everyone back with one button. It is free. Groups work in the browser on a computer or phone; people on the mobile app stay in the main room for now.
Can I change the language or sign in during a call?
Yes. The language changes in the More menu without reloading, and sign-in opens in a separate window, so the call is not interrupted.
Will there be meeting summaries?
Coming soon: AI meeting summaries: who said what, what was agreed, and the tasks. It understands Uzbek.
Are calls secure?
Yes. Media is encrypted (DTLS-SRTP) on every connection by default, rooms are private and open by link only, and there is a waiting room where the host approves who joins.
